Dirk Caremans Wins 2013 Silver Camera Award

Eurodressage's in-house photographer and supporter from the first day in 1997, Dirk Caremans, has won the 2013 Silver Camera Award for best equestrian sports photo of the year. The Silver Camera Award is annually awarded to an international photographer at the CHIO Aachen.

On Saturday evening 29 June 2013, the Belgian Caremans became recipient of the award and was honoured in a special ceremony in the main stadium.

The runner-up for the 2013 Silver Camera was Dutch photographer Arie de Vroet, followed by German photographer Cindy Voss.

The jury for the Award included Ludwiga von Korff (last year's winner), Andreas Müller, Erich Timmermanns and Frank Kemperman. The winner receives a check for 2,500 euro, the second placed gets 1,000 euro, the third placed 500 euro.

Dirk Caremans' winning photo was Helen Langehanenberg kissing Damon Hill at the 2013 World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden.
