The renowned KWPN brood mare Endy (by Ulft x Amor) has passed away at age 26 at Jan Vink's stud farm Black Horses in Papendrecht, The Netherlands. Endy was a foundation mare in Huub and Tiny van Helvoirt's breeding programme.

In combination with Jazz, Endy produced brood mares Trendy, Orendy and Serendy, who were all three the dam of licensed stallions Charmeur (by Florencio), Zhivago (by Krack C) and Zuidenwind (by OO Seven). Trendy also produced the Danish owned licensed stallion Blue Hors Edelman (by Vivaldi). Endy also produced mare Andy (by Jazz), who became the 2008 KWPN Mare Champion.

Huub van Helvoirt sold the mare to Jan Vink before his death in 2011. Vink tried to flush embryos out of the aging mare but did not succeed. He has one Belissimo M filly left out of her, a colt by Jazz passed away due to a rare blood poisoning.

Endy, who gave birth to no less than 20 foals in her life of which 14 were sired by Jazz, was in good health until a week before her death. Although she received special feed because she hardly had any teeth left, she did very we ll and was under constant veterinary care.
