Europe based Australian Olympic team rider Lyndal Oatley made a special guest appearance at the 2013 CDI Sydney on 2 - 4 May 2013. Oatley had a hectic few days during this quick trip back to her home town competition inspiring school children to take up riding.

The President of the Dressage NSW, Prue Spurrett ws thrilled with this year’s school program. “It’s one of our most successful excursions ever! The level of excitement and feedback from the kids has been great. The highlight for them was getting to hold a gold medal for the first time.”

Yesterday, the school children of the Central Coast Grammar school got to meet 2010 World Equestrian Games and 2012 Olympic rider, Lyndal Oatley. You could see the kid’s eye’s widen as they listened to Lyndal talk about her Olympic preperation. She then signed autographs which the kids treated like Gold.

Lyndal talked about her goals as a younger rider to ride Grand Prix at this big show. In order to achieve her goal she took her small tour horse to Europe to train before she achieved this. Lyndal bought Feramo K through trainer and rider Patrik Kittel. She moved to his barn to get help riding Feramo K,   fell in love and married her coach.

Oatley topped off her appearance in Sydney with a demo rider on Feramo K.
