British Grand Prix rider Emma Hindle has sold Diamond Hit, her most successful breeding stallion at Brookhouse Stud, to the Loningen based Gestut Sprehe.

Hindle retired the dark bay Grand Prix level competed Oldenburg stallion (by Don Schufro x Ramino x Welt As) at the Althengst Parade held in November during the 2012 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta. Diamond Hit was Brookhouse Stud's most active breeding stallion.

"It was an honour, a joy and a privilege to ride him for the last 12 years and if his offspring gives the breeders and riders of the world a 100th of the pleasure he has give me they can count themselves lucky," Hindle told Eurodressage. "I wish Gestut Sprehe all the best. I know he is in good hands and will continue to contribute to the success of the horse world for generations to come."

Emma has been downsizing the activity at Brookhouse Stud in Germany as she is spending an increasing amount of time in her home country Great Britain, running her family's property business. Emma is also a mother to 1-year old son Luke and juggles all these jobs while being a professional international dressage rider.

"It was hard (to sell him)," Emma explained "It's a tough decision but I think the right one for my family and I."

Diamond Hit is a highly celebrated breeding stallion with 46 licensed offspring and 37 German registered offspring competing at S-level dressage.
