Christoph Hess BYRDS Clinic for British Young Riders on 1 December 2012

The British Dressage BYRDS Committee is holding a training day with world renowned German judge and trainer Christoph Hess on 1 December 2012. Hess has been at the top of the sport of dressage and eventing for decades. He gives training and judging seminars all over the world.

Christoph was head of the German Equestrian Federation (D.O.K.R.) based at Warendorf for many years. He commentates annually at the famous German ‘Bundeschampionat’ (Annual German Championships for horses and ponies). He is an International FEI Judge in both dressage and eventing disciplines and has officiated at World Championships and Olympic Games in Eventing dressage. He has a passionate approach to rider development and believes it is the foundation on which the partnership with the horse depends.

Christoph is coming to Staunton in Gloucestershire on Saturday 1 December specifically to train some of Britain's BYRDS riders (British Young riders Dressage Scheme) with the emphasis on rider development. "We hope to show him developing the rider’s position and effect with a range of riders of different ages and abilities," said British Dressage.

This clinic is aimed at BYRDS Rider Test Judges/Assessors and those interested in becoming Rider Test Judges/Assessors, BYRDS riders of all ages and levels and their parents.

Times will be approximately 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Cost is £20.00 per adult and £15.00 for U18’s. Spaces will be limited so please book your place by sending in a cheque (payable to British Dressage) or calling with a credit/debit card.

Please bring your own refreshments and lunch as there are no catering facilities and warm clothes.
