The 5-year old Diamond Song and 6-year old Devina were the grand champions in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Baden Wurttemberger Regional Championships in Tübingen, Germany, on 29 June - 1 July 2012. Eight horses out of 18 qualified for the Warendorf German Young Horse Championships Finals in September and the winners of the classes produced seasonal high scores.
In the 5-year old L-level test Katrin Burger and the Oldenburg stallion Diamond Song (by Diamond Hit x Sandro Song) reigned supreme with an 8.7 overall score. The combination scored a 9 for trot, 8.5 for walk, canter and submission and 9 for general impression. Nicola Haug and the Bavarian grey mare Samoa (by Sir Alfred x Fair Play) were the runners-up with 8.1. Judges Peter Mannheims and Christian Schacht gave the combination 9 for trot, 7 for walk, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
In the 6-year old division, Ralf Kornprobst and the Baden Wurttemberger mare Devina (by Dacaprio x Akzent II) achieved the high score of the day with their 8.9 winning mark. The judges awarded the duo 9.5 for trot, 9 for walk, 8.5 for canter and submission and 9 for general impression. Sabina Schrödter and Katja Günter's Baden Wurttemberger bred stallion Grafit (by Grafenstolz x Gaynmed I) were second with 8.6. This pair got 9 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8 for canter, 9 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
