German Team Selected for 2012 European Pony Championships

The German Equestrian Federation and pony chef d'equipe Connie Endres announced the pony team that will represent Grmany at the 2012 European Pony Championships in Fontainebleau, France, on 15 - 22 July 2012.

Based on the results achieved at the selection trials in Wiesbaden and Hagen as well as the performances at the Preis der Besten and international shows, Endres considered and nominated the following riders for the team

  • Semmieke Rothenberger - Golden Girl, a 10-year old German Riding Pony mare by Don't Worry x Dancer
  • Lena Charlott Walterscheidt - Equestricons Lord Champion, a 10-year old German Riding Pony gelding by Le Champion x Amelio
  • Anna Christina Abbelen - Dornik's Donovan, an 8-year old German Riding Pony gelding by Dornik B x Capri Moon
  • Nadine Krause - Danilo, a 9-year old German Riding Pony stallion by Dornik B x Power Boy

The first reserve is Sophie Kampmann on Voyager and the second reserve is Vannessa Theressa Oppowa on Casino Royale. Rothenberger can use Deinhard B or Der Feine Lord as reserve ponies, Walterscheidt can ride Don Davidoff as her reserve pony.
