The United States Equestrian Federation has announced the combinations qualified for the 2012 U.S. Dressage Championships, which also serve as American Olympic selection trials. Fifteen Grand Prix pairs and fifteen small tour combinations are invited to compete at the 2012 Festival of Champions in Gladstone, New Jersey.
The Grand Prix standing is based on the two best scores achieved in the Grand Prix and two best in the Special. Their average is totalled to an overall score. The number one ranked Grand Prix duo in the U.S. is Steffen Peters and Ravel but they have received a bye not to compete at the trials.
