A further 900,000 tickets for London 2012 Olympic events are to be released over the next week including tickets to some equestrian sessions. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis exclusively to the one million people who applied in previous rounds
of Olympic ticket sales and were not successful in securing a ticket.
First priority will be given to the 20,000 people who were unsuccessful, first in the initial Olympic ballot application and then again when they applied in the second chance sales due to the high demand. These people will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets for over thirty different sports, including dressage, eventing and jumping sessions, from 11am on Friday 11 May to 6pm the following day.
One million people who applied in the initial ballot but were unsuccessful will then be eligible to purchase the remaining tickets from next Sunday, May 13. The equestrian tickets will be released following a daily schedule on 15 May:
May 15: equestrian (dressage), equestrian (eventing), equestrian (jumping), diving, synchronised swimming, handball, table tennis, swimming (marathon) and water polo;
All customers will be limited to applying for one session only and a maximum of four tickets. Unsold tickets on each day will be carried forward to the next day's sales. Those eligible will be contacted directly via email by London 2012 later today. Any tickets unsold during this period will go back on general sale from May 23 at 11am.
Remaining tickets for the Paralympic Games will go on sale from 21 May 2012
