The 3-year old brand new approved Danish Warmblood stallion Sezuan (by Romanov x Don Schufro) has been sold to Patrik Kittel's sponsor Arlette Jasper-Kohl of Gestut Peterhof in Perl-Borg, Germany, right near the Luxembourg border.

The January video of the dark bay Sezuan created a Youtube sensation as the stallion showed off his spectacular gaits. This prompted Kittel to contact owner Andreas Helgstrand and secure the horse for him.

"After watching this attached video of Sezuan, both Arlette and I could not believe what we saw. We are very grateful that we could make a good deal with Andreas, and today he was approved in Denmark," Kittel stated yesterday.

Sezuan was accepted for breeding for the Danish Warmblood society but had a remark on OCD in his knee, which prevented him from moving onwards to the premium ring.

Bred by Linette Jæger and owned and prepared for the licensing by Andreas, Helgstrand will keep the horse in training until he is 5-years old.

"Then myself and Arlette will take over the career of this talented young horse," Kittel added. "I am sure that Sezuan will have a big influence on the future of both dressage breeding and the top sport."
