Easton and Romanoff xx Approved at 2012 Trakehner Late Licensing

The stallions Easton and Romanoff xx were accepted for breeding for the Trakehner verband at the 2012 Trakehner Late Stallion Licensing held in Munster-Handorf on 3 - 4 February 2012. Ten stallions in total were registered to appear, seven were presented at this licensing.

The colts were divided into two categories: those born in 2009 and the Thoroughbreds. Seven 3-year old colts were registered to participate in the licensing (I'm Happy 2 Rock, Keltenfurst, Easton, Parenzo Go, Kahedin, Cantharis Cadiz, Seraphin (pulled out on Saturday due to fever)) but only Easton was approved. Bred by Jikkie Willemsen-den Biemann and owned by Dutch Joop van Uytert, Easton is by Gribaldi out of the Trakehner Mare of the Year 2005, Evivva (by Kaiser Willhelm). He will stand at stud in The Netherlands.

The 9-year old Thorougbred Romanoff xx (by Silvano xx x Pirate Army xx) also received a positive verdict from the licensing committee. The bay stallion won seven races between 2005 and 2009. He is also approved for Baden Wurttemberg and will stand at stud at Gestut Birkhof in Donzdorf, Germany.
