2012 Classical Sales Warendorf

Warendorf – Let’s Rock! The fourth edition of Classical Sales Warendorf will be carrying the motto ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’, and the date of the auction has now been announced. On 29th March 2012, twenty carefully-selected dressage horses will be offered for auction at the Wietelshof, on the outskirts of Warendorf.

The collection has now been finalised. ‘We have chosen some great horses. Beautiful, quality youngsters with above-average movement who have been regularly placed in competitions and whose full history, from the breeders onwards, can be traced’, said Fabian Scholz, who initiated the CSW auction together with Pferdewirtschaftsmeisterin Susanne Miesner.

While the 2011 edition of the CSW Auction carried the motto ‘New German Wave’, this year’s auction is going to rock: ‘All of the horses will be named after Rock ‘n’ Roll artists or songs. The auction and the presentation, which will be held on the Sunday before, will also be accompanied by top Rock ‘n’ Roll hits’, said Scholz.

The exacting criteria which all of the CSW horses are chosen according to will once again be scrupulously adhered to in this fourth edition of the auction: the horses are trained to a level appropriate for their age and physical development, their full history is known, and they are characterised by three high-quality paces and exceptional rideability. All of the auction horses will be trained according to the principles of classical training, with schooling sessions balanced off with paddock time.

In 2011, the top price was 134,000 euros. Arguably the most famous CSW auction horse to date is the eye-catching Florencio offspring Freak Blue Phantom (‘Papageno’ from the 2009 auction), who, in 2011, finished in the top ten both at Verden’s World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and at Warendorf’s Bundeschampionate.
