Dezemberspitze Achieves Top Price at 2011 Winter Mixed Sales in Vechta

The liver chestnut mare Dezemberspitze became the top selling horse at the 20111 Winter Mixed Sales of Oldenburg sport horses in Vechta, Germany, on Saturday 3 December 2011.

Dezemberspize (by Dimaggio x Oldtimer xx x Weltmeister) is a State Premium candidate and received the Io premium at the 2011 Oldenburg Elite Mare show in Rastede. She sold for 80,000 euro to Gudula Vorwerk-Happ and will be trained in the future by Kira Wulferding.

The second most expensive horse of this auction was the 4-year old gelding Davero (by Dimaggio x Sandro Hit x Alcatraz). Ullrich Kasselmann of Performance Sales International acquired the gelding for 41,000 euro.

The third best selling horse was the most expensive show jumper, Calantus (by Catoki x Landor S x Argentinus) which moves to Great Britain for 37,000 euro.

Thirty-five horses in total were sold at this auctoon and they achieved an average price of 17,049 euro. Clients from Great Britain, Venezuela, Sweden, Austria, Ukraine, Canada and Switzerland imported Oldenburg horses through this auction.

Five upcoming stallion prospects and four broodmares were also sold at this auction. The colt Fulminant (by Furst Grandios x Waterford x Weltmeyer) sold for 60,000 euro to Austrian Gerold Karlovatz. The average price for a stallion prospect was 23,000 euro.

The best selling broodmare was the 4-year old State Premium candidate Rebella (by Florencio x Lord Liberty G x Castro) who is in foal to Totilas.  Her sales price was not listed.
