Klosterhof Medingen has sold its Trakehner licensed champion Le Rouge to Derk Wieger de Boer's dressage stable in Norderstedt near Hamburg, Germany. The 9-year old chestnut stallion attracted interest from buyers after his appearance at the Hamburg Dressage Derby.

The 2002 born Trakehner is bred by Geert Brenninkmeyer and is by Pret à Porter out of State Premium Mare Lantana (by Tycoon x Michelangelo x Mackensen). In 2004 he became Trakehner Licensing Champion in Neumunster, Germany.

The stallion was trained by the Klosterhof Medingen rider Vera Nass, who competed him this year mainly at small tour level. At the Hamburg Dressage Derby he finished second in the Under 25 competition with horse change.

A dressage rider, who trains with De Boer, saw the chestnut in Hamburg and it was love at first sight. A few days later she tried him out and the sale was quickly done. In the future he will be used a sports horse but will continue to be available via Klosterhof Medingen.
