Her Royal Highness Princess Haya, the FEI President, will be attending the 2011 European Junior and Young Riders Championships at Broholm Castle in Gudme, Denmark, on 20-24 July 2011.

In April the event organizers announced that HRH Princess Benedikte has become patroness of the Championships. HRH Princess Bendikte once again showed her commitment and gave her support to one of the Danish events to the benefit of equestrian sport.

On the final day of competition, on Sunday 24 July, HRH Princess Haya will present the medals to the new European Champions. HRH Princess Haya will also participate in the press conference that will follow along with the winners.

The visit of HRH Princess Haya to the European Dressage Championships for Junior and Young Riders is a great pleasure for the organiser JBK Horse Shows

“It is a great honour to us that the FEI President , HRH Princess Haya, has chosen to attend the ECCO FEI European Dressage Championships for Young Riders and Juniors 2011. It is a clear sign that a European Championship for the younger riders is a priority for the FEI. It is also a sign of great importance to the young talents, and it will surely be a further motivation for them to do their best,” said Mr Jens Trabjerg, managing director.

“We are already really pleased that the dedicated and very active patroness of the Danish Equestrian Federation and president of Friends of Dressage, HRH Princess Benedikte, once again will be coming to Broholm to support the Danish sport of dressage, and now we can be even more pleased that the FEI president, in spite of a very busy schedule, has decided to come to Broholm. It is a clear sign of respect for the event itself and for the association’s work in international equestrianism,” said Mr Ulf Helgstrand, president of the Danish Equestrian Federation.
