The Dressage Committee of the Spanish Equestrian Federation has released the names of the riders that will constitute the Spanish team for the 2011 CDIO Aachen, held 13 - 17 July 2011.
Recommended by Spanish team trainer Jan Bemelmans, the following riders are included in the Spanish team:
- Beatriz Ferrer on Fabergé (15-year old Hanoverian gelding by Falkland x Akzent)
- Claudio Castilla on Jade de MV (12-year old Lusitano stallion by Músico x Neptuno)
- Jordi Domingo on Prestige (14-year old KWPN gelding by Ferro x Farmer)
- Juan Manuel Muñoz on Fuego (13-year old PRE stallion by Utrerano VII x Elegido III)
Spanish dressage rider Carmen Naesgaard and her 15-year old Hanoverian Ciowa (by Cheenok x Wittelsbach) have been confirmed for the four-star CDI tour. Chances are that Antonio Diaz Poras and the 11-year old Hanoverian Duke (by De Niro x Fabriano) will compete in it too.
Spanish Morgan Barbançon Mestra has been selected for the Under 25 competition with the 14-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Painted Black (by Gribaldi x Ferro).
