Franka Potente, Price Highlight of the 2010 Vechta Winter Mixed Sales

The full sister of licensed stallion Diamonit became the price highlight of the Winter Mixed Sales of Oldenburg sport horses in Vechta, Germany, on Sunday 5 December 2010.

The 4-year old Franka Potente (by Diamond Hit x Santander H x Freiherr) sold for 53,000 euro to Bianca Kasselmann of Hof Kasselmann in Hagen.

Franka Potente is bred by Hans and Britta Scherbring from Visbek, Germany, and was the most expensive horse of 44 Oldenburg bred young sport horses sold at the auction.

Second most expensive horse was catalog number 1, Highland Christmas (by Hotline x Sandro Hit x Grannox). An Australian paid 43,000 euro for Erika and Heiko Stolle's breeding product.

American Marta Kauffman acquired the petite dressage star Show Step (by Show Star x Donnerschwee) for 22,500 euro. A German buyer paid 21,000 euro for the black mare Florine (by Sir Donnerhall x Fürst Heinrich x Argentinus).

Several 2,5 year old stallion prospects were offered for sale and the black colt Honduras (by Hotline x Sandro Hit x De Niro) achieved the highest knock down price of 10,000 euro. San Diego (by San Amour x Don Schufro x Inschallah AA) sold for 9,000 euro.

The average price for a sport horse at this auction was 12,375 euro. The eight brood mares sold achieved an average price of 9,688 euro while buyers paid 8,375 euro on average for a 2-year old stallion prospect.
