Spanish Team for 2010 World Equestrian Games Announced

The Spanish Equestrian Federation announced the team that will represent Spain at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY, USA, on 27 September - 1 October 2010.

After a final observation event at the CDI Cappeln, chef d'equipe Bobby Fernandez de Bobadila appointed the following riders on the team:

  • Juan Manuel Muñoz - Fuego XII
  • Claudio Castilla - Jade de MV
  • Rafael Ortíz - G-nidium
  • José Antonio García Mena - Norte
  • Reserve: José María Sánchez Cobos  - Fogonero

The Spanish team is entirely represented by Iberian bred horses (Andalusian and Lusitano). Jordi Domingo's Dutch warmblood gelding Prestige (by Ferro) was not fit on time for team selection.
