2010 Spanish Pony Championships

More than forty ponies competed at the 2010 Spanish Pony Dressage Championships held in Segovia, Spain, 22 - 23 June 2010. At the Cecyle Equestrian Center, located on the outskirts of Segovia, 100km from Madrid, Claudia Quintilla became the Spanish Pony Champion at FEI pony level.

Robin van Zeldam and the Welsh pony stallion Zonneweide's Jacinto won both rounds in their division and became champion of Spain in the category B for smaller ponies. The Catalan Maria Cabré got silver for her ride on John Lennon. The petite Patricia Gomez de Mallorca and Pegotito took the bronze.

Three Catalans were on the podium in the C category. Ana Mellado took the lead riding Cava Chap, whereas Afra Salvatella and Cava Nefydd Samson finished second. The bronze went to Clàudia Quintilla on Cava Wilson.

At the highest level for the biggest ponies, Clàudia Quintilla took the most important national champion's title with the experienced 16-year old FEI pony Caiusbonus.com, who was previously competed by Ariadna Alvarez Pou. She totalled 166.608% for gold. Ana Maria Ballesta and Aristo were second with 153.021%. Carolina Alabern and Hermes collected bronze.
