The 4-year old bay Hanoverian mare Salenga became the price highlight of the Hanoverian May Auction in Verden on 8 May 2010. The Samarant x World Cup offspring, bred by Sissy-Nadine Braband and presented at auction by Klaus Behrens, sold for 45,000 euro to Great Britain.

Because the main indoor arena of the Hanoverian auction centre is under construction, the auction was held in the neighbouring indoor of the Hanoverian Riding and Driving School. Seventy-seven 3 to 6-year olds were included in the collection of the May Auction.

Second most expensive horse was Sanbreno (by Santino x Brentano II), which sold for 41,000 euro. Best selling show jumper was Spartakus (by Silvio x Rabino) which moved to Denmark for 34,000 euro.

The average price for a horse in this May auction was 14,451 euro.
