Dressage Judging Explained to the Media at the 2010 World Cup Finals

In the framework of the FEI World Cup Dressage Final, the FEI is pleased to invite journalists to a seminar during which Official International judge Wim Ernes will introduce the participants to the intricacies of judging an international Dressage competition at the highest level.

The seminar at a glance:

WHEN:

Thursday, 25 March 2010.

  • The seminar will begin at 18h15.
    18h15 – 19h00 – introduction by Wim Ernes, explanation of the requirements, going through a Grand Prix test movement by movement (test shown on DVD). Journalists will be given the opportunity to test their skills and act as judges.
  • 19h00 – 19h25 – Questions and answers
  • 19h30 – World Cup Dressage Final Grand Prix Test begins. Using earphones, journalist listen to Wim Ernes, who comments the riders’ performances in real time. Given that the number of earphones is limited to 40, the participants in the seminar may be split in two groups so that everyone has the chance to listen to the commentary.

WHERE:

The first part of the seminar - 18h15 - 19h25 - will be in the event’s press centre at
Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands

For the second part, starting at 19h30, the participants will follow the competition live from the event's press tribune.
