Tobajo Pik Disney has been proclaimed champion of the 2010 Norwegian Warmblood Stallion Licensing, held at the 2010 Arctic Equestrian Games in Vestfold, Norway, the last week of February 2010.
The stallion licensing committee was consulted by Dutch O-judge Wim Ernes and twelve stallions out of twenty-six were licensed. Six of them are considered dressage bred stallions.
The 5-year old chestnut stallion Tobajo Pik Disney (by Tobajo Picez x Walt Disney) was named champion of the licensing. He scored 7 and 8,5 for conformation, 6,5 for walk, 9,5 for trot and 8,5 for canter. In his stallion performance test he received 7,5 for walk, 9,5 for trot, 9 for canter and 8,5 for rideability.
The judging committee commented that Tobajo Pik Disney is a "big framed stallion with a good conformation. He has a good croup and good musculature. The walk is short, the trot powerful and elastic with very good hind leg activity, the canter well balanced and powerful. In the riding test he showed very good movements in trot and canter and had a very good rideability."
Tobajo Pik Disney is bred by Tormod Bakke Johnsen, who was named Breeder of the Year at the licensing. The stallion is owned by Norwegian dressage rider Trude Hestengen, who is based in Denmark and trains with Michaela Lindh and Andreas Helgstrand.
'Disney has very good results in 4-year old classes and has also won L-level classes in Denmark with over 70%," Hestengen told Eurodressage. "The goal for this year is to qualify for the World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Verden."
