The 2009 U.S. Young Horse Championships kicked off today at Dressage at Lamplight at Wayne, ILL. Caroline Roffmann and Bon Chance won the 4-year old warm up class. Louise Koch and San Shivago took the lead in the 5-year old division while Mikala Gundersen on Pikko del Cerru topped the leader board in the 6-year old class.

In the Six-Year-Old division, U.S.-bred “Pikko del Cerro HU” made America proud by claiming the Markel/USEF National Championship with an overall score of 7.9.
