A set back for the Swedish team. Neither Minna Telde nor Louise Nathhorst will be competition as Swedish team riders at the 2009 CDIO Aachen, July 1-5, 2009. Both have cancelled their entries.
Minna Telde was scheduled to compete the Hanoverian stallion Don Charly (by Don Gregory) but the chestnut still has not fully recovered from the injury he sustained at the 2009 World Cup Finals in Las Vegas, U.S.A in April. The horse is back in training but Aachen is too soon for him. Telde hopes she can ride him at the 2009 European Dressage Championships in Windsor, Great Britain, at the end of August.
Louisa Nathhorst injured herself in the groin. Swedish show jumper Rolf-Göran Bengtsson is grounded for a similar injury.
Patrik Kittel and Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven will start as individual Swedish competitors.
