Riding and Dancing - Harmony, Mystique or Simply Logic?

Wed, 04/01/2009 - 00:00
2009 Classical Sales Warendorf

As a prelude to the auction "Dressage Pure",Classical Sales Warendorf will hold a special presentation:Riding and Dancing - Harmony, Mystique or Simply Logic?

The organizers would like to demonstrate a real and systematic way to train dressage horses. They want to show you how a horse, trained in the classical method, performs, and how this training is perceived and felt by the rider. A panel of experts has been invited to explain this theory of the correct art of dressage training. This seminar will take place at Wietelshof in Warendorf, Germany, on April 4, 2009.

The experts are:

Klaus Balkenhol, Olympic Team Gold and Individual Bronze Medallist. German Team trainer 1997-2000, U.S. Dressage Team Trainer 2002 - 2008.

Hans-Heinrich Isenbarth, the voice of equestrian sport, will give an introduction to the subject. With his wide wisdom and sharp awareness, he will get us focused on today's needs in horses.

Susanne Miesner has started all of her seminars and lectures in the past years with this drawing. It is a symbol of the harmony between two living beings who can't be more different. Only with this knowledge, a true rider will completely understand the theory and principles of riding.

Michael Hull will also be part of the Classical Sales seminar. Michael is a ten-time World Champion in dance and will impress you with our similar philosophies. He is internationally known as one of the most successful modern dancers of our time. He is on the jury of the popular television show "Let's Dance" and knows what he is talking about when explaining tempo, rhythm, and relaxed movement. He describes these elements as "positive tension" which is the source for all movement. The terms "leaning on", momentum, straightness, and "collection" are not foreign to the basics of human dancing. Michael will not only talk about these elements, but he will also demonstrate them through dance.

Hans-Heinrich Isenbarth, Michael Hull, and Susanne Miesner will demonstrate the coming together of these two worlds.
