Bellheim, Champion of the 2009 Austrian Stallion Licensing

Bellheim became the champion of the 2009 Austrian stallion licensing in Stadl Paura, Austria, February 14-15, 2009. Fourteen stallions in total were licensed, including foreign approved older stallions as well as domestic stallions which excelled with their performance record.

The licensing champion came from the group of 3-year old stallions.

Bellheim is a massive Belissimo M offspring out of an Atlas x World Cup I dam. The 173 cm tall liver chestnut stallion is bred and owned by the Hell family from Grunddorf, Austria. He received a score of 7.7 overall from the stallion selection committee. Bellheim did his stallion performance test from July till September in 2008 and finished second overall with 125,97 points and first in dressage with 135,23 points. As a foal, Bellheim was a reserve champion at the 2005 Austrian Foal Championships with a 8,67 score.

Rubinoh W (by Rubinero x Continue x Sandro) became the reserve champion. The dark bay colt is bred and owned by Heinz Winter and scored 7,61 overall.

Three older stallions, which have excelled in sport and proven to produce good offspring, were accepted for breeding in Austria. The 19-year old Ramiro's Bube (by Ramiro x Pik Bube I x Moltke), Moosbachhof's 17-year old Rubioso N (by Rubinbstein x Almeo x Vollkorn xx) and the 18-year old Lord Liberty G (by Lord Liberty x Freiherr x Vollkorn xx ) were accepted. The latter stallion will be stationed at Gestut Auheim in Wölfnitz.
