Anky van Grunsven, one of Holland's most earning sport athletes on the Dutch rich list went for the money at CDI Cannes when she won the Grand Prix with Painted Black and received 2,800 euro of a 10,000 euro purse.

There is much more money to be won in the Special and Kur at this event. It's the first time that Cannes organizes dressage at their show jumping event and tons of money is involved in this leg of the Show Jumping Global Tour. Cannes is an invitation only event for dressage riders.

Swiss Silvia Ikle and Salieri finished second and won 1,900 €.

French Constance Menard won the Grand Prix Special on her Gelderland bred Lianca (by Tourist). Constance scored 66.12. Menard is vying for a spot on the French team. Her other French team mates are competing at Rotterdam June 18-22 (Hubert Perring, Karen Tebar, Julia Chevanne) instead of Cannes. The final French Olympic selection trial will be Aachen.

Tommie Visser and Blue Ocean didn't make it in the Special. His grey mount was very spooky and tense in the Grand Prix and couldn't handle the floodlight for the Grand Prix Special. They did not compet in the Special.
