Shooting stars on the international dressage scene are the Swedish combination Emma Karlsson and the Westfalian mare Faradera. They garnered fame by obtaining a spot on the Swedish team and have been successfully competing in Europe this summer.

In addition, the 11-year old liver chestnut mare has proclaimed Westfalian Horse of the Month by the German Westfalian Verband.

The 11-year old Faradera is by Florestan out of Messalina (Matcho AA x Leibjäger) and is bred by Franz Epping from Munster. The mare sold for 16,500 euro to German Heinrich Ramsbrock through the Munster Elite Auction in October 2000.

The mare then sold to Sweden and came in training with Emma Karlsson, a student of Louise Nathhorst. Owned by the Swedish Inger Brinning, Faradera became the 2007 Nordic Baltic Individual Dressage Champion in Helsinki, Finland. The duo claimed a spot on the Swedish dressage team and represented Sweden at the CDIO Aachen, where they competed all the way through to the kur to music finals. In the Aachen Nations' Cup they claimed stake on a third place.
