Second Dutch WCYH Selection Trial Leads to Six Additions to Long List

2007 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

On Thursday May 24, 2007, a second selection trial was held in Ermelo, The Netherlands, for Dutch horses that wish to qualify for the 2007 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, Germany, in August.

Combinations which were unable to attend the first qualifier on May 7 now got the chance to present themselves in front of the judges. The selection committee added six combinations to the long list of horses in the running for qualification. Holland has currently lined up twelve 5-year olds and ten 6-year olds. The new additions are:

5-year old Dressage Horses

  • Valeron (Sandro Hit x Houston) – Kebie van der Heijden
  • Velazquez (Krack C x Alasca) – Sabina van Ruitenbeek
  • Vic (Jazz x Flemmingh) – Patrick van der Meer
  • Vironia (Oscar x Weinberg) – Christa Laarakkers

6-year old Dressage Horses

  • Uphill (Oscar x Apollonios xx) – Emmelie Scholtens
  • Uzzo (Lancet x Indoctro) – Patrick van der Meer

On June 4,2007, the first official training with all the long listed combinations takes place in Ermelo.
