The dark bay Oldenburg stallion Welt Hit II has been proclaimed Keur stallion by the KWPN society. The four licensing committees of the KWPN society met recently to review the achievements of the stallions with older offspring.

The committee concluded that based on the performances of Welt Hit II's offspring, the Oldenburg branded sire earned the prestigious Keur title.

The 14-year old Welt Hit II is by Weltmeyer out of Cileste (Hill Hawk xx x Harald) and is owned by the Dutch stallion station De Havikerwaard. In 1994, he was reserve champion of the Oldenburg Stallion Licensing and later on approved for the KWPN society in Holland. In 1995 Welt Hit II scored 141.74 points for dressage in his Stallion Performance Test at Medingen. In 1997 and 1998 he won the Zwolle International Stallion Show and in 1998 he placed sixth at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. Under Coby van Baalen, the stallion was successful at Prix St Georges level. A colic operation put his sport career on the back burner for a few years, but he is currently back in training and schooling Grand Prix.

Welt Hit II has 15 licensed sons including Weltissimo (dam sire Barsoi xx), who was highly successful under Susan Draper at the 2002 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Daughter Riondine (dam sire Ferro) was the 2004 Dutch Hippiade Champion at Z2-level. Weltclassiker (Welt Hit II x Classiker) was the top selling horse at the 2000 PSI Auction achieving a knock down price of 650,000 euro.
