The Andalusian stallion Ubio is the first PRE bred stallion that has been licensed with a German warmblood society. On October 7, 2006, Ubio was approved for breeding to warmblood horses in Germany at the Baden Wurttemberger Stallion Licensing in Darmstadt.

The 15-year old Ubio (by Quimico out of Golossa) obtained its approval for Baden Wurttemberg based on his show performances. Under Elisabeth Eversfield-Koch, Ubio has competed at international small tour level and produced more than decent results.

Eversfield-Koch discovered Ubio in Spain in Mai 2003 when she and her husband were on holiday there. "I treated my wife to a a trip to Spain and we made a tour visiting breed farms near Madrid. Whenever we go on a trip, we always return with a horse," Dr. Stephen Eversfield said. "I fell in love with the stallion straight away," Elisabeth Eversfield-Koch said. "He was in such a bad condition, chained a small shack, but I totally fell for his unbelievable will. He gives everything under saddle."

"Ubio has pased the way for his breed, and despite initial skepticism received from the association, he managed to convince the tribunal with his three nice basic gaits and strong expressive spirit, which corresponds in every sense of the word, to the success of German horses," magazine El Caballo Espanol wrote.
