Dutch Under 25 team rider Micky Schelstraete saw two of her horses leave the barn, sold to new riders: her U25 team horse Karim and the sales horse SPH Venezia.
Micky Schelstraete and her mom Jonna run a horse dealing yard so the 22-year old team rider is used to the coming and going of her horses.
Karim
Karim is an 11-year old Dutch warmblood by Charmeur out of Whoopi (by Sir Sinclair x Dutchboy). He is bred and was owned by Anouk Snippe.
The bay moved into training as a 3.5 year old with Mireille ten Have, who produced the horse to Grand Prix level. She showed the horse at national level in The Netherlands. In January 2026 Karim moved to Schelstraete's barn.
Micky and Karim debuted internationally in the Under 25 division in Fontainebleau and then went to Exloo. They were 6th at the 2026 Dutch U25 Championships and got nominated on the Dutch team for the 2026 European Under 25 Championships, where they were 24th in the short Grand Prix (65,077%) and won team bronze.
The identity of the buyer has not been revealed.
SPH Venezia
The 8-year old Oldenburg mare SPH Venezia is by Vitalis and out of Golden Grey (by Grey Flannell x Donnerschwee). The horse is bred in Germany by Bernd Huslage.

Venezia has now been sold to the Twint family for their children division riding daughter, Tooske.
The 13-year old tooske competed Happy Feet at the start of 2026, but as of May had been showing Black Magic T at the CDI's in Exloo and Lier. The 6-year old Black Magic T (by Kilian x All at Once) unfortunately passed away in August. Tooske took to Instagram stating, "Since i was little i have had so much heaviness on my shoulders, no one knows really who we are. I hoped so hard i finally found my forever horse to share my tears and happiness with. So this hurts me so much and double up because i had to much horses with health problems. It is not easy for me to talk about it, hope you respect sometimes i do not respond."
She will now continue her sport career in the children and future junior division with Venezia.
