Riders from Seven Nations Ready for the 2026 Balkan Dressage Championships

Riders from seven teams are getting ready to compete at the 2026 Balkan Dressage Championships in Kovilova near Belgrade in Serbia on 17 - 20 September 2026.

Dressage in the Balkan

The Balkan Championships (BEC) are hosted under the auspices of the European Equestrian Federation and endorsed by the FEI. The Balkan Federations have been organizing Balkan Championships since 1968. Over more than 55 years they have invested much time and effort to develop regulations which were then approved by the Balkan Council member NFs.

The BEC are open to riders from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkiye.

Annual Regional Championships

These annual regional dressage championships are open to a maximum 8 riders from each country can participate in each category: children, pony, juniors, young riders and senior small tour.

This year Clive Halsall (GBR) serves as president of the ground jury and is assisted by Elke Ebert, Nicoletta Milanese, Eugenio Rovida, Karen Pavicic , Peter Hansaghy, Dora Markun, and Milan Djordjevic.
