Four major German warmblood breeding associations, 24 select young talents, and a shared stage: On Thursday, August 27, 2026, the German Horse Quality Foal Auction at the National Championships in Warendorf enters its second round.
The Hanoverian Association, the Oldenburg Horse Breeding Association, the Westphalian Horse Stud Book, and AG Deutsches Sportpferd are jointly presenting an exclusive collection of top-class dressage, show jumping, and riding pony foals.
German Horse Quality
Under the German Horse Quality seal of quality, the four associations are once again pooling their breeding expertise. Each association is sending six selected young talents to Warendorf. The collection brings together prominent maternal lines and families with a strong track record of sporting success: Among others, foals from the Love Story line, from the maternal line of the stallion Wolkentanz, and from an internationally successful 1.60-meter show jumping line are represented. Other auction foals are sired by mares who are half-sisters to the S-level dressage champion Fusaichi Dancer, or carry the exceptionally successful multiple European champion Geisha as their grandmother in their pedigree.
The collection also features top-class sires. Offspring of Chacoon Blue, Zonik Plus, Security, La Paix, and Grey Tonic are among the 24 auction candidates and underscore the athletic and breeding quality of the joint selection.
Schedule
As early as Wednesday, August 26, starting around 4:30 p.m., interested parties will have the opportunity to see the foals in person for the first time. In the DSP Arena, the 24 auction candidates will be presented to the public and potential buyers.
On Thursday, August 27, starting around 6:00 p.m., the excitement begins: The German Horse Quality Foal Auction kicks off in the DSP Arena. Against the backdrop of the National Championships, these up-and-coming talents will be seeking their new owners.
