Anne Sofie Aaen Sells Her Grand Prix Horse Fursten-Flame

Danish Grand Prix rider Anne Sofie Aaen has sold her number one in the barn, Fursten-Falem. Ridehesten first reported the news.

Fursten-Flame is a 14-year old Hanoverian by Furstenball out of Worldlady (by Weltmeyer x ). He is bred by Janine Weghorst.

The black was discovered by Aaen as a 2-year old and trained to Grand Prix level by herself.

The majority of Fursten-Flame's sport career Aaen competed him nationally. They were 12th at the 2016 Danish Young Horse Championships when the horse was four. At the 2019 Danish Young Horse Championships they were 10th in the 7-year old finals.

They did their first national Intermediaire II test in November 2020 and moved to Grand Prix level in 2021. Their international show debut followed in March 2023 at the CDI Herning. At the 2023 Danish Grand Prix Championships they were 8th

They returned to CDI showing in October 2024, back in Herning at medium tour level, after which another one-year break from CDI showing followed. They returned in December 2025 in Aarhus and then headed to Herning in March 2026.

Aaen has now decided to sell Fursten-Flame and he has moved to a new home in Norway. His new rider will be Karianne Klaveness Holmen.

"On Sunday I said goodbye to Fürsten-Flame, who left for new adventures with his new owner in Norway," Aaen stated. "We had 12 years together. From a little baby horse at 2 years old to an international Grand Prix hors. The barn feels so empty, and I'm just getting used to the fact that he's not standing there looking out his window when I look out of mine in the morning. I'm sure he'll be fine. It's just never easy to say goodbye to someone you love so much."
