European pony championship silver medal winner Leni-Sophie Gosmann has taken over the reins on Bundeschampion Gold Garant from Sophie Duen.
Gold Garant is a 7-year old Westfalian licensed stallion by Golden Grey out of Championata (by FS Champion de Luxe x FS Don't Worry). He is bred by Alicia Mengelkamp.
Bundeschampion
Owned by Oemer Boyar van Baaren who is closely connected to the Schurner's Gut Neuenhof and in the care of Danica Duen, the perlino stallion was licensed at the 2021 Westfalian stallion licensing, where he was named champion, and approved for Weser Ems in 2022. He achieved his performance test duties through sport. He is a popular breeding stallion with already 136 offspring registered with the German equestrian federation, including three licensed sons (Giroux, Good as Gold AT, Ganz Besonders Descendi S).
He was first competed in 2023 as a 4-year old by Danica Duen. After winning the Westfalian young pony championships, he was second in the warm-up round of the Bundeschampionate but withdrew in the Final for 4-year old stallions. In 2024 he competed in 16 national tests, mainly under Danica, but at the Bundeschampionate for 5-year olds Danica's daughter Sophie piloted him to the gold medal. In 2025 he did only one show in Ankum in Novermber with Sophie.
Leni-Sophie Gosmann
The ride has now been given to Leni-Sophie Gosmann, who has been a member of the German pony team for the past two years.
Aboard the buckskin Diamantini she won team gold and Kur bronze at the 2024 European Pony Championships and team gold and individual test and kur silver at the 2025 European Pony Championships.
Gosmann and Gold Garant were part of the line-up for the Rhinelander Preis der Besten scouting session.
