Borja Carrascosa's Grand Prix ride Sir Hubert B has been sold. He will continue his sport career in XXX

Sir Hubert B is a 12-year old Westfalian gelding by Sir Heinrich out of Fanfare (by Florestan x Rosenkavalier). He is bred by Hubert Brinkmann.

Early Years

The chestnut gelding was first competed by Laura Robert in June 2016 and did not show the next year.

In 2017 he returned to the arena under Stefanie Ahlert for some A and L-level showing at local events after which another break followed.

Sir Hubert sold in the 2018 Westfalian Autumn Elite Auction for 100,000 euro to Petra and Dieter Hofmann.

The horse moved into training with Spaniard Borja Carrascosa, who had successfully produced Hofmann's Ein Traum to Grand Prix level. In 2021 a deal was struck with Portuguese Maria Pais do Amaral in partnership with Petra Hofmann for Maria to campaign the horse but it never came to be.

Carrascosa and Sir Hubert B made its show debut in October 2021 at Intermediaire II level in Ankum and competed in the Louisdor Cup qualifier in Hagen in April 2022.

As of 2023 Sir Hubert became listed as co-owned by Borja and Petra according to the FEI.

The pair's big international Grand Prix debut was in Samorin in April 2023, where they won the Grand Prix and Special with 69.674% and 71.574%. They represented Spain at the FEI Nations Cup in Compiegne and Falsterbo. Their first international victory was the 2023 CDI 5* in Frankfurt, acing the freestyle with 77.525%. For the rest of their time together mainly competed in World Cup qualifiers.

They contested two World Cup Finals: in 2024 in Riyadh where they finished 10th in the Kur and in 2025 in Basel, where they were 12th in the Kur. The duo's last international show was in aachen in July 2025, posting 70.652% in the 4* Grand Prix.

Sold

Sir Hubert B has now been sold to South Korea. He will continue as a schoolmaster for Thomas Shiwoo Kim. The horse will remain in Germany under the supervision of Borja.
