Slangerupgaards Saffron, Anne Troensegaard's fourth placed horse at the 2025 World Young Horse Championships, has been sold to Germany.
Slangerupgaards Saffron is a 6-year old Danish warmblood mare by Secret out of Serafina (by Scolari x Don Frederico). She is bred and owned by the late Alex Buchhardt Pedersen of equestrian center Slangerupgaard in Ringsted
Anne Troensgaard
Under Grand Prix rider Anne Troensegaard, the mare was produced up the levels.
They were 16th and 6th at the 2023 and 2024 Danish Young Horse Championships and made headlined when they won the Danish warmblood 5-year old championship in Herning 2024.
Eight months later the mare returned to the national show scene as a 6-year old and was selected on the Danish team for the 2025 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where she won the preliminary test with 92.200%, but then dropped off the podium in the finals to a fourth place.
Rose Oatley
The mare sold after the World Championships to the Oatley family for young rider daughter Rose to ride.

Rose Oatley has a barn full of horses sourced in Denmark, including another offspring out of Serafina that the Oatleys have in their barn: Slangerupgaards Flottenheimer (by Franklin), previously shown at the WCYH by Eric Guardia Martinez, as well as stallions Parero and Opoque.
Rose has successfully ridden the horses Rock Revolution, Veneno and Sommernacht to multiple European Junior Riders Championship medals and titles. This year she rode Gerd Saborowski's Don Domingo at the European Young Riders Championships in Kronberg, but they are no longer a pair as both Don Domingo and Feldrose have left Oatley's barn.
