The 8-year old KWPN licensed stallion Maddox Mart became the price highlight in the dressage collection of the 2025 Aloga Auction.
For its fifth edition of the Aloga Auction and for the second consecutive year the show jumping team of Aloga (Bertram and Harry Allen) included a capsule collection of dressage horses into its jumper auction in partnership with Sönke Rothenberger and Matthias Rath.
The event is hosted with a lot of music and entertainment at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek, Belgium, and this year's edition drew a full crowd on 6 May 2025.
The Aloga Auction consists mainly of show jumpers, selling for whopping prices. The best seller was the 8-year old gelding Kommandant (by Comme Il Faut x Diarado) which went for 1.2 million euro.
Laura Martin, a client of Semmieke Rothenberger, paid 240,000 euro for the 4-year old gelding Fasano (by Feinrich x Dormello) after a duel with an online bidder from Armenia. The gelding is a full brother to Sönke Rothenberger's 2021 Oldenburg Elite Mare champion Faraglioni and a half brother to the international junior riders' horse Feodor von Nymphenburg (Lana Raumanns, Marlene Zahleiter).
The 4-year old stallion Denir (by Dynamic Dream x Ampere) also sold for 110,000 euro to the Armenian online bidder who also tried to get Fasano. The horse moves to Alena Starr’s barn in Germany.
The 6-year old British bred mare Shadow Fairy Caledonia (by Foundation x Sir Donnerhall) sold to Switzerland for 90,000 euro after a bidding duel against a French online bidder.
