The internationally competed British junior rider's horse, Mount St. John Furstin Fugger, has found a new forever home with British youth rider Tabitha Wood.

Mount St. John Furstin Fugger is a 12-year old Oldenburg mare by Furst Heinrich x Weltmeyer x Pik Bube. She is bred by Frank Moormann.

The black mare is the full sister to the Bundeschampion Furst Fugger, who disappeared from the sport scene after selling to Colombian Marco Bernal in Wellington, Fl.

Owned by Emma Blundell of Mount St. John stud, she won bronze at the 2016 British Dressage Championships as a 5-year old under Lucinda Elliott.  In 2021 she was competed by Amy Woodhead at Prix St Georges level at national shows in the U.K.

In the summer of 2021 Blundell agreed to lease the mare to British junior rider Isobel Lickley.

She debuted her in August 2021 at Advanced Medium level at Bury Farm. Their international debut followed in October of that year at Keysoe, where they were third twice.

In 2022 Lickley campaigned her at Keysoe, Compiegne and Wellington Heckfield and was a hair's breath away from British team selection for the 2022 European Junior Riders Championships in Hartpury. She was named first reserve.

In the autumn of 2022 the lease was not extended and Furstin Fugger returned home. Amy Woodhead picked up competing her again and presented her at Vale View in December and Onley Grounds in March at small tour level.

Blundell has now sold Furstin Fugger to Sarah Wood for her daughter Tabitha to ride. The pair will stay in training with Amy Woodhead.

"She will stay in Amy’s stable and never be sold," Emma told Eurodressage. "She will be a schoolmistress for her. There has been a long list of requests for her but I’m confident I couldn’t of found her a nicer forever home."

The Wood family stated, "Fiji is the kindest, most generous, talented soul and we all adore her."

Wood started her competition career on pony BKS Brandini (by Hilkens Black Delight) in 2018 and moved onto horses in 2021 with Bequia (by Belissimo M).
