The 5-year old Bohemian and the 6-year old Sheldon Cooper became the winners of the big Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Ansbach on 5 May 2021.
5-YO: Bohemian
Judges by Henning Lehrmann, Christoph Niemann and Michael Hubrich, the 5-year old L-level test featured 15 combinations.
Nicole Casper and Gestut Birkhof's Oldenburg stallion Bohemian (by Bon Coeur x Rotspon) topped the board with 8.4 points. The dark bay stallion got 7.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 9 for general impression.
Ramona Ritzel and her home bred DSP gelding Zampano (by Zack x Baryshnikov) finished second on 8.3. The chestnut gelding received 7.5 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Water Wadenspanner and his home bred DSP stallion Va Bene (by Veneno x Belissimo M) finished third with 8.1. after receiving 7 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
6-YO: Sheldon Cooper
The M-level dressage horse test for 6-year olds was judged by Hubrich, Lehrmann and Jurgen Hagenheimer. Fourteen pairs competed.
Carina Harnisch and her own DSP bred gelding Sheldon Cooper (by Sezuan x Rosenstein) achieved the high score of the day with 8.6 points, receiving 8 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter and submission and 9 for general impression. The horse is named after the lead character in the television series The Big Bang Theory.
Lisa Horler and Margit Eisner's DSP gelding Danny Cool (by Danciano de Malleret x Sandro Hit) were on their heels with an 8.5 total score. The dark bay got 9.5 for walk and trot, 8 for canter, 7 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Former Piaff Förderpreis winner Franziska Stieglmaier landed third place aboard her father's Hanoverian gelding Zahin (by Zack x Dancier) with 8.0. The bay gelding earned 8s across the board for his gaits, submission and general impression.
