The Celle state stud announced today that it will be limiting the breeding options to their stallions Shu Fu, Venido and Valensky due to popular demand.
"Because of the strong demand and the limited biological possibilities per breeding, the number of coverings by stallions Shu Fu, Venido, and Valensky has been limited to maximum two heats."
If a mare is not pregnant after a second heat/covering, another stallion needs to be chosen.
"We strongly urge to have your mare thoroughly checked up," said Celle. "If the demand gets even higher, it will be normal that in a few weeks we will only cover mares at the station itself. With "problem mares" is makes sense to board them in Celle so that they can be checked up at short intervals."
Shu Fu is one of Celle's most popular breeding stallions at the moment. Bred at Gestut Greim, the liver chestnut Shu Fu was a premium stallion at the 2020 DSP Stallion Licensing in Munich, where he sold for 180,000 euro to Celle. He scored a total of 8.84 points and became the high scorer at the 2020 Schlieckau 50-day Stallion Performance Test. He received 8 for walk and trot, 10 for canter, 9 for rideability, and 9.5 from the test rider.
Venido is a 3-year old Veneziano x Sir Donnerhall x Don Davidoff, which was first approved at the 2020 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta and acquired by Ingo Pape in partnership with Celle. The liver chestnut was one of the eye catchers of the Oldenburg licensing
Valensky is a show jumping by Valentino x Cornet Obolensky.
