Shannon Dueck Appointed Colombian Team Trainer Until 2024 Olympics

Canadian Grand Prix rider Shannon Dueck has been appointed Colombia's Dressage Team Trainer from 2020 until the 2024 Olympic Games.

The 57-year old Dueck already served as Colombian team chef d'equipe and Technical Advisor at the 2019 Pan American Games, where Colombia finished 5th in the team ranking.

Her duties have now expanded to the team trainer job and the position has been extended to a four-year period. 

"I am very honored to continue my role as National Trainer for Colombia. We have big goals as we go towards Paris in 2024," said Dueck. 

Aboard the KWPN gelding Korona, Shannon Lee Dueck represented Canada at the 1999 Pan American Games, 2002 World Equestrian Games, 2003 World Cup Finals and 2003 Open European Dressage Championships. Her next major Grand Prix horse was Ayscha which she showed at international level from 2010 till 2013. With Cantatis she competed at international small tour between 2014 and 2016. 

Dueck lives in Wellington, Florida.
