The 5-year old Feingefühl and the 6-year old Eyleen were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Höven on 1 July 2020.
The 5-year old division was action packed with 19 competitors. Professional Sandra Kötter topped the board with Gaby Heye-Hammerlage's Hanoverian mare Feingefühl (by Furstenball x Farewell III) on a strong score of 8.8 in total. The dark bay mare earned 9 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot and submission and 9 for general impression from judges Wolfgang Egbers, Rainer Ahlers and Ute von Platen. Three combinations tied in second place with an 8.1. score. Hermann Burger and Gerd Sosath's Hanoverian stallion St. Patrick (by Sezuan x St. Moritz) earned 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, and 8.5 for submission and general impression. Patrick Kraft and Lodbergen's Oldenburg gelding Dumble de Jeu (by Dante Weltino x Gribaldi) scored 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Thomas Schulze and Belgian Caroline van Zele's Westfalian mare Forever Valentine (by Franziskus x Laurentio) earned 8.5 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Eleven pairs contested the 6-year old division and Yvonne Kläne aced the class aboard Sissy Max-Theurer's Westfalian mare Eyleen (by Escolar x Laurentianer). The bay mare got 8.5 for walk and canter and 8 for trot, submission and general impression to finish on a winning total of 8.2 points. Three combinations tied in second place with 8.0: Charlott Marie Schürmann and the Oldenburg stallion Bretton's Firegirl GD (by Bretton Woods x Furst Heinrich) got 7.5 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot and submission and 8 for general impression. Johanne von Danwitz and the Oldenburg gelding F-Type (by Franziskus x Chico's Boy) received 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Hermann Burger and Anna Genfors' Westfalian gelding Eric (by Escolar x Dimaggio) got 7 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
