The Discover Dressage USEF/USDF High Intensity Training Session is set to begin this week at the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J., welcoming top emerging talent for three days of educational and formal training sessions, beginning October 25 and concluding October 27.

The Discover Dressage USEF/USDF High Intensity Training Session was established through the US Dressage Emerging Athlete Program and aims to bring rising talent excelling in the discipline of dressage into the High Performance fold through educational seminars and focused training sessions.

In addition to individual training sessions with Dressage Youth Coach George Williams and Allison Brock, a Rio 2016 Olympic medalist and member of US Equestrian Dressage Coaches Support Network, several panelists will be featured throughout the three-day event. Speaking on a range of different aspects essential in the transition to high performance sport, seminar topics will include human physiotherapy, biomechanics and judging feedback, sports psychology, and veterinary medicine.

The mounted participants of this year’s Discover Dressage USEF/USDF High Intensity Training Session include:

  • Julia Barton (Lawrence, K.S.) and Ilionne, Julia Barton’s six-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare
  • Hannah Irons (Queenstown, Md.) and Scola Bella, Dressage4Kids, Inc.’s ten-year-old Hanoverian mare

The US Dressage Program is grateful for the continued support of Discover Dressage and their mission to support and inspire the next generation of talented youth dressage athletes in the United States. Without their commitment and continued dedication to the US Emerging Dressage Athlete Program, the High Intensity Training Session would not be possible.
