Giada Nera RR, Top Seller at the 2016 Swiss Foal Auction in Sursee

The black filly Giada Nera RR became the top selling foal of the 2016 Swiss Foal Auction held in Sursee, Switzerland, on 25 September 2016.

Twenty-five of the 29 foals offered up for auction were sold. Even though Switzerland is more a show jumping favoured country, the dressage foals sold the best.

Bred by Hansruedi Reusser, Giada Nera RR (by Feedback x De Niro x Rubinstein) sold for 16,000 CHF (14,678 euro). This filly was qualified for the National Championships in Avenches, where she placed third.

The second most expensive foal was the filly Sierra Flores (by Sandro Boy x Lux Z). Bred by Ueli Egli, this filly switched owners for 15,500 CHF (14,219 euro).

Mike Holdel's colt Fantastico M (by Finest x Rubin Royal) sold for the knock down price of 15,000 CHF (13,761 euro).

Six foals in total sold for over 10,000 euro. The others were colt Furst Totilas ZS (by Furstenball x Totilas) for 11,000 euro, and the filly Sezuana ZFK (by Sezuan x Sir Donnerhall x Pavarotti) as well as the jumper colt Camacho CB (by Cordess x Don Corleone) for for 10,000 euro.
