Renowned Dutch horse breeder and stallion owner Gert-Jan van Olst and his wife Anne, a Danish Olympic team rider, are offering a lovely collection of talented and highly promising home bred or reared youngsters up for auction at the 2015 Van Olst Sales on Friday 3 April 2015.
The 2015 Van Olst Sales offers a collection of 25 stricly selected young, talented, mainly 3-year olds which have recently been saddle broken. These blooming youngsters are still in full development and improving each day with more training and under saddle experience. All horses in the collection are either home bred or reared at Van Olst Horses in Den Hout, The Netherlands.
Van Olst prides itself in having a very high standard when it comes to breeding and rearing dressage stock. The Van Olst Sales collection boasts young prospects which have been hand picked based on their talent, gaits, health and character.
This is a very unique opportunity to buy a young dressage star who has been given the best start in life by being professionally managed from birth to being saddle broken. The beautiful Van Olst Sales' collection includes horses aged 3 to 5 with the majority being green 3-year olds who have just started their career under saddle.

The 3-year old bay gelding Hotshot is by Lord Leatherdale out of Goethe x Rheinblick dam and is an absolute highlight in the 2015 Van Olst Sales collection. This drop dead gorgeous son of Lord Leatherdale is blessed with a good size, beautiful model, much expression and a super character. He has an extraordinary way of moving and has a big future ahead of him. This one has got it all!
Catalog nr 17: Halegro van het Trichelhof
This 3-year old bay gelding is by Negro out of an Akribori x Onyx dam. This modern sport horse has a wonderful conformation and is very appealing to the eye. His great disposition and strong way of moving make him a lovely youngster with much potential for the future. He's gorgeous and talented!
The 3-year old dark bay gelding Hermes is by the preferent sire Negro, who also produced Olympic champion Valegro, and out of a Don Schufro x Partout dam. He descends from the Caramels dam line which has produced many successful Grand Prix horses such as Nadine (Hans Peter Minderhoud) and Karolus van Wittenstein (Patrick van der Meer). All these horses have one thing in common: cadence. Hermes has a clear talent and suits a rider who thinks for the long term: Grand Prix level!
The 3-year old black mare H Black Lady is by Lord Leatherdale out of a Negro x Landadel dam. This beauty is a clear talent and a very interesting sports mare. She has top genes and is a full sister to the licensed stallion Chippendale. She has been PROK mare tested. The option is available to have her covered for free by stallion George Clooney (by De Niro x Wolkentanz)
