The Danish equestrian federation has updated the Under 25 and senior Grand Prix squads of 2026 following recent results.
"The changes have been made based on recent results, sporting developments, and the perspectives assessed in relation to the development of the teams and participation in future international competitions and championships," said the Danish NF. "The purpose of the update is to create more dynamic squads that better reflect the current sporting performance and development among the teams."
The federation continued, "the squads are not a selection for championships, but an expression of the teams that are currently included in the association's sporting work and long-term planning."
Elite Sports Manager Susie Dannemand stated that, "we in the Elite Department are continuously working to develop and adjust our squads and their composition. This autumn we will introduce new criteria, especially for the perspective squads, but more on that later. The squads have previously typically been determined for ½ to 1 year at a time, in the future we want – without it becoming a revolving door – greater flexibility, so that we can adapt to the individual athlete's development and situation to a greater extent."
