As part of the historic Maimarkt Competition CDI/CSI in Mannheim, the Oldenburg Breeding Association hosts a Foal Auction with a select collection of ten top-class foals on 2 May 2026.
The selection brings together offspring of internationally sought-after sires with successful sport and breeding lines, promising the highest quality for both breeding and competition.
Eye Catchers
In the dressage lot, catalog number 4 features the stunning Zaubermaus, born March 2, 2026, by Zacolar di Mantova out of Supergirl by San Amour I – Rubinstein I – Gutenberg, bred and trained by Michael Niethammer, Weil der Stadt. This elegant dressage princess from Zacolar di Mantova’s debut crop impresses with her momentum and quality. Her dam is the sister of the licensed Walker by Wolkentanz, as well as the Grand Prix winner and World and European Championship participant Deep Impact/Severo Jurado Lopez, ESP, and Charlotte Jorst, USA. Her dam line is responsible not only for the licensed Weltrubin by Weltmeyer and the Grand Prix-winning Luxor/Katharine Farrell, AUS, but also for the Grand Prix horse Diokletian/Uta Ackermans-Meynen and the Intermediaire I-successful Lennox/Martin Christensen, DEN.
Lot 6 features the outstanding Vegeta, born February 9, 2026, by Verbier out of Karina by Don Schufro – Sandro Hit – Grannox, bred and owned by: Heino Stolle, Neerstedt, son of the acclaimed Oldenburg Champion Stallion and Grand Premium winner Verbier, takes the auction stage. The prospective stallion impresses with outstanding basic gaits, plenty of drive, and a highly modern appearance. His dam Karina has already produced the Oldenburg main premium candidate Bonnie by Bonds, who impressed at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede. Karina is the sister of a licensed stallion by Hotline, who was sold to Australia at the auction in Vechta. Granddam Kassandra, an Elite and State Premium mare, is the sister of Solid Gold by Sungold/Elizaveta Lyban, RUS, who was successful at the Prix St. Georges level. The dam line also produced the Grand Prix-winning Rubin Raphael by Judy Ethell, USA.
Pony riders are not left out either: Catalog number 5, Goldmarie, born 02/03/2026, by Gold Garant NRW out of Double Glück by Double Glück – Hesselteichs Grimaldi – Notre Noir, bred and owned by Christiane Bader, Besigheim, is a pony filly with excellent movement in the lot. Her sire, Gold Garant NRW, National Champion of five-year-old dressage ponies, has already sired more than 20 licensed sons at a young age and is considered a guarantee of success. Her dam, Double Glück, is a sister to the licensed Mr. Lover Lover by Mr. Wayne, as well as to the winning foal by Gold Garant, which received top marks at the German Foal Championships in Lienen. Maternal sire D-Gold AT was National Champion at three and five years of age and has already sired numerous licensed sons and sport-successful offspring.
Presentation of the Foals on 1 May
You can meet your favourites in person at the CDI Mannheim as early as May 1 during the presentation of the jumping foals starting at 1:00 p.m. and during the presentation of the dressage foals starting around 2:15 p.m.
On May 2, the entire collection will be presented again in the show jumping arena starting around 12:25 p.m., before the auction begins at approximately 2:00 p.m. and interested parties have the opportunity to secure their favorites—with the best prospects for a successful future in international sport—either in person in Mannheim or conveniently by phone, proxy bid, or online via the HORSE24 platform.
