The FEI has allocated the 2028 World Cup Finals to the Swiss city of Basel. Since running the 2025 WC Finals, Basel received the FEI's vote of confidence to stage the multi-discipline event again.

The dates are set for 5 - 9 April 2028.

"We are incredibly proud to be able to host this important sporting event again in such a short time in the beautiful Rhine region. We thank the FEI and our national federation for the trust they have placed in us. We are highly motivated to set new standards again in 2028 and host a world-class competition," said Thomas Straumann, President of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of CHI Classics Basel.

Damian Müller, president of the Swiss Equestrian Federation, added, “the awarding of the World Cup Finals to Basel once again sends a strong signal for our equestrian sport and for Switzerland as a whole. It is a great honor and a clear recognition of the commitment, competence, and outstanding work of the organizing committee to be able to host this top event in Switzerland again after 2025. Basel will once again become the vibrant center of international equestrian sport – serving the athletes, the horses, and the entire Swiss Equestrian family.”
